Wirthlin Worldwide and Itochu Management Consulting formed a joint venture to provide strategic direction to in-house companies owned by Itochu. The joint venture primarily served the food, chemical, metals, technology, and machinery sectors within Itochu.

Michael Silva developed international-transaction experience in an exclusive partnership with Itochu Corporation commencing in 1985, evolving to Wirthlin Worldwide Itochu Management Consulting. Itochu-related transactions directly involving Michael include Foundation Health Corporation, Del Monte, Dole, Pennzoil, Saarschmiede, Global Steel Consultants, and Samsonite.

WWIMC is not presented as a current Itochu Group subsidiary. The association is historical and nominative.
